I graduated top of my year from King’s College, London, winning the Newland Pedley Prize and Medal as well as being nominated for the University of London Gold Medal. Whilst at King’s College, I was Vice-President of the Dental Society. Since then I have gained my Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons as well as receiving my postgraduate qualifications in Restorative Dental Practice from the renowned Eastman Dental Institute at UCL.

I gained vast experience working at Kingston, Croydon and East Surrey Hospitals followed by a 6-year position in a family practice in the beautiful Sussex countryside. The desire to run my own dental practice brought me to Herne Bay in 2017 when I took over as the principal dentist of Sea Street Dental. Since then, my aim has been to deliver the best possible care to the people of Herne Bay, using the most modern equipment and the best techniques available. The practice has grown, fuelled by demand from our local community for our excellent care, and driven forward by the wonderful team of caring and friendly individuals I have the honour of calling my team.

Outside of dentistry, you’ll find me lamenting the woes of Manchester United as well as entertaining my 2 young daughters and dealing with the mayhem that ensues!

What would your favourite holiday destination be and why?
Both Fiji and Bora Bora are phenomenal but for the sheer majesty of it, I would have to say the Iguazu Falls on the Brazil/Argentine border.

What is your phobia?
I do not like creepy crawlies in general and I cannot watch people put contact lenses in.

A big umbrella, a big beach towel, bucket and spade, some food and my kindle.

My journey to Sea Street has been a varied one. I qualified from Kings College London in 2015 and from there moved to Brighton where I completed a year in hospital treating cancer patients, working in A & E and also improving my oral surgery skills. From there I moved back to London working in a range of different practices while completing my two-year Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry. These formative years have given me an excellent foundation to deliver high quality general dentistry for my patients. Sea Street has been the perfect place to continue developing my skills and build up a stable and friendly patient base.

Outside of work I enjoy running and have recently completed my First Half Iron Man Triathlon. I love my cat Daisy and exploring new places with my partner, especially roof top bars in London.

What is your phobia?
Even though I like Swimming I always get scared when I enter an unfamiliar pool because I’m scared of drains!

Janki graduated from The University of Birmingham in 2009, following this completed an SHO post with the Maxillofacial team at Kent and Canterbury. She gained a wealth of experience in oral surgery, assessing trauma and managing patients with head and neck cancers. In 2013, Janki completed membership examination with the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and continued working as an associate in general practice for the past 14 years in Kent, Devon and London. At Sea Street Dental I have found the perfect practice that shares my passion in providing high quality dentistry.

I believe in continuous profession development and completed a year in restorative dentistry along with smile makeover courses. Currently I am completing a facial aesthetics diploma with Harley Academy in London.

Outside dentistry I enjoy running, rowing and going for long walks on the beach. I also love traveling with my young family.

What would your favourite holiday destination be and why?

This has got to be the Maldives. There is nothing more tranquil than watching the beautiful Indian Ocean and sitting on soft white sand and drinking a glass of bubbly whilst watching the sunset. The Indian Ocean is incredibly beautiful with the most amazing marine life.

Rav graduated from Kings College London University first completing a BSc in Molecular Genetics, and then a degree in Dentistry.

She has continued her passion for learning and wanting to provide the best care for her patients by completing a PG Cert in Restorative Dental Practice at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute. Having developed a passion for Cosmetic Dentistry, she has further trained in various courses to enable her to carry out cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening, composite bonding, veneers and general orthodontics such as Invisalign.

Her caring and calm nature helps put her patients at ease and ensures a relaxed environment to carry out treatment comfortably. She is passionate about giving beautiful results tailored to the individual patient and believes in respectfully enhancing your natural form and beauty.

Outside of Dentistry, Rav enjoys travelling to explore new countries and has an interest in various crafts, as well as socialising with friends and family.

My favourite holiday destination is Rio de Janeiro as it has a perfect mix of beautiful beaches with surrounding mountains and fun party culture.

Rhea received a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery from Mumbai, India, in 2019 and has worked in various roles since then, one of which also included working in a makeshift COVID hospital in Mumbai during the pandemic!
She moved to the UK in 2021 to pursue an MSc in Healthcare Management, following which she worked as a dental hygienist and therapist in Margate, Kent.

Rhea has been a part of our Dental Hygiene team since February 2024.

What would your favourite holiday destination be and why?
Italy for sure! It’s been on my bucket list since forever and hopefully will be visiting soon.

Oceans – deep waters scare me and I am yet to learn how to swim.

For as long as I can remember, I have always known I wanted to pursue a career in Dentistry. In 2022, I graduated from Queen Mary University with a degree in Oral Health and qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist. I enjoy tailoring my advice to meet individual needs and helping people improve their overall oral health.

Outside of work I enjoy socialising with my friends and listening to live music and travelling with my partner.

Tokyo – I would like to visit all 6 Disney resorts.

I started my career in dentistry in 2012 and qualified as a dental nurse in 2014, I then went on to studying at university of Essex in oral health science and qualified there as a hygienist in 2020.
I love working with people and helping them get the smile they deserve. I approach every task with a calm and reassuring manner and ensure every visit is a positive one.

After deciding that dental nursing was the profession I wanted to go into, I decided to volunteer at a local dental practice to help out and see how it all worked. I soon decided it was the right career for me and after a week of volunteer work at the practice, they offered me a fulltime place where I gained my qualification in dental nursing. Since joining Sea Street Dental I have continued to grow with my professional development and am extremely happy to work with likeminded people who have extremely high standards and real family values for all staff and patients alike.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young  family: a little girl born in 2020 and a little boy born in 2024 that keep myself and my partner very busy! We enjoy long weekends away and making some memories with friends and family.

What would your favourite holiday destination be and why? 

Portugal! Lots of amazing memories as it was myself and my partner’s first holiday together and look forward to going back as a family in the future.

I joined the Sea Street Dental team as an apprentice dental nurse in 2021, after 2 years of working in a bridal studio. Since then, I have qualified and registered as a dental nurse. I love being part of the SSD team as there is such a friendly atmosphere, I have lovely colleagues and I enjoy meeting all the patients.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and partner, Jack. I keep fit by going to the gym and doing ballet. My favourite thing to do is bake – I often make cakes (gluten free, as I am coeliac), both for myself and for others. I also love to clean, and spend a lot of time ‘hinching’ my house!

Definitely Florida – I’ve always wanted to go to Universal Studios and Disney World.

After working in retail for several years, I decided to embark on a new challenge and started training to be a dental nurse in 2013. I qualified in 2016 after completing my NEBDN diploma. I started working at Sea Street in 2019 and love being part of a friendly team. I’ve enjoyed expanding my knowledge and learning new skills. I especially enjoy all things to do with facial aesthetics.

When I’m not running around after my 2 daughters, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy renovating my home and always have some kind of project on the go. I’m a keen reader and love to cook.

What would your favourite holiday destination be and why?
I’d love to travel around Thailand, but I would be happy with anywhere hot and exotic.

What is your phobia?
Being stuck in confined spaces.

I have always wanted to work in the dental profession since I was very young, and my own dentist would involve me during my family’s check-ups. In 2024, I finished my foundation degree at the University of Northampton and loved every second of the course and everything I experienced and saw on placements. Straight out of university, I started my first job at Sea Street Dental and couldn’t be happier.

Outside of work, I like to spend lots of time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews. I enjoy cooking and baking and love eating! I am a big lover of self-care, all the skin and hair products and doing make-up, as well as lots of sleeping and maybe having a glass of sauvignon or prosecco.

My favourite holiday so far would be Disney land Florida and Zimbabwe for the safari. But I would love to visit Japan and eat the food.

I started as a Trainee Dental Nurse in 1976 and obtained my 1st National Diploma in 1980. I worked at various NHS/private practices in London. I took a position working for the Waltham Forest Health Authority. I was based at a Health Clinic in Walthamstow where we treated school children and visited special needs schools with a mobile dental surgery. After that I took a break from dentistry and worked in a role as a staff receptionist. Then a few years later I worked at a kennels homing retired racing greyhounds; I adopted 3 myself as I couldn’t leave them in kennels!

My journey at Sea Street began in 2012 when I moved to Herne Bay from Essex. I worked for Rob Jolliffe as a Dental Nurse and Receptionist. When he took early retirement, Hiten bought the practice and ‘inherited’ me! The practice has grown and developed under his leadership and we have a great team now that I’m pleased to be a part of. My dental journey will come to an end in 2027 when I finally retire!

My dream holiday destination would be Alaska where I could see bears in the wild

I joined Sea Street Dental in 2017. It’s been amazing to watch the practice grow so we can accommodate more patients and staff. I have over 20 years experience as a dental nurse. While studying Health and social care in sixth form a topic on dentistry was handed to me which I enjoyed very much. That’s when I decided I wanted a qualification in Dental Nursing.

In 2006 | qualified with my NEBDN national diploma which I am very proud of. I have worked for both the NHS and the Private sector over the years and Sea Street Dental is by far my favourite place to be.

In my spare time I love spending time with both my family and friends.
I also really enjoy running 3-4 times a week and spending quality time with my son.

I qualified as a Dental Nurse aged 19 and went on to study dental radiography whilst working in Orthodontics. I worked in NHS and private practice and applied to work at Sea Street Dental in 2018 when Hiten took over. I have seen many positive changes in that time! We have a very warm and friendly patient base which makes my job very satisfying.

I love my town and enjoy spending many hours at the family beach hut in the summer.

Any European city break for the culture, arts and cuisine.

Blurb: Since I was young, I’ve always known I wanted to do something in healthcare, my mums a midwife and my sisters a nurse and it always seemed very interesting to me. But I never overly knew what part of healthcare I wanted to go into. Then in January I started working at Sea Street Dental and I love it, its such a lovely atmosphere and all my colleagues are very friendly and I enjoy speaking to all the
customers.

Outside of work I love to spend time with my friends and family, we tend to do a lot of creative things together like pottery painting or candle making which I really enjoy.
